Fine dining with a side of fine art and music….OK, do I have
your attention now?
This past Saturday night I had the pleasure of going to Arts
and Eats restaurant for the first time.
What a pleasant surprise! From the moment we walked in the
door, we were greeted by the owner
and the magic started off to what would be a wonderful evening.
Arts & Eats Restaurant and Gallery is in the center of
the Village of the Arts at
it is an experience you will not find anywhere else in town.
It reminds me of the amazing places
in Manhattan , NY or the Hamptons on Long Island .
Your senses are overloaded in a beautiful way from culinary excellence
to fine art. On this particular evening,
we were lucky enough to be there during a special live
performance by Dillon, a pianist, and Nick Gambardella,
a violinist. These musicians were quite talented and
inspirational to hear while enjoying the most amazing food.
You can taste the freshness and the food is cooked to perfection.
Chef Jim Copening’s food is inspired by the ethnic
flavors he experienced on the streets of New York City , and it shows. I felt like I
was back in NYC where I grew up.
What a pleasure!
Donna Slawsky and Jim Copening call their style “affordable
elegance.” The restaurant is casual yet elegant,
with original art on the walls as well as Donna’s own
mosaics and jewelry. It’s not just dinner, it’s an experience!
